The Basso Dental Practice was established in 1965 by my parents, Dr. Giovanni Basso and Dr. Maddalena Scansetti, both specialized in Odontostomatology after three years of studies and practice at the Dental Clinic directed by Prof. Dino Roccia.

Passionate about dentistry, after obtaining my "Liceo Classico" Diploma at the "Liceo Valsalice", I decided to continue in my parents' business. On November 3, 1993, I obtained a degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics.

During my studies I had the opportunity to meet numerous professionals in the sector. In particular, Dr. Stefano Roggia taught me the basics of oral surgery and fueled my passion for this discipline. Prof. Giulio Preti passed on to me the most solid foundations of Dental Prosthetics and the rigor in each of the multiple steps that make up oral prosthetic rehabilitation.

In my post-graduate period, Dr. Eraldo Pomatto allowed me to improve my surgical skills and gain experience in advanced surgical techniques.

Professor Flavio Mela, a close friend of my father, accompanied me to full maturity in surgical disciplines and gave me the confidence to deal with the most complex cases as the primary surgeon. Dr. Marco Mozzati completed my surgical training by introducing me to the most advanced implantology and regenerative surgery techniques.

Since 2001 I have been a Consultant for the Oral Rehabilitation and Maxillofacial Prosthetics Division at the Surgery Department where I carry out outpatient and operating room operations also on patients suffering from serious pathologies and on non-cooperating disabled patients.

Since 2016 I have been a Contract Professor teaching Oral Surgery at the College of Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics.

I have been a teacher and tutor at the Master in Oral Surgery since its first edition in 2018. Here I enthusiastically guide colleagues in the acquisition of safe and effective surgical techniques. I carry out consultations in Oral Surgery, implantology and regenerative surgery in many practices in Turin and Piedmont.

Among a myriad of professional development options, from year to year I select some courses and conferences to attend to keep up to date and introduce the most recent innovations in the dental field into my practice. My wife, Manuela, and my children Francesca and Giovanni have always supported me in my ongoing education.

Today I can offer my patients the most modern and effective treatments in every discipline of dentistry thanks to a solid tradition resulting from almost 60 years of experience.
